Fintech platform Curie Money has secured $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by India Quotient, with participation from institutional investors and angel investors.

The fresh funds will be deployed to strengthen its core team, advance product development, scale technology infrastructure, and build strategic partnerships to accelerate growth and market expansion into the current account and MSME segments, Curie Money said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2022 by Arindam Ghosh and Tushar Choudhary, Curie Money is a high-yield, mutual fund-backed banking app that seamlessly integrates investments with payments. Users can invest in mutual funds while enjoying instant liquidity for payments. It offers no-minimum-balance savings accounts powered by YES Bank and fixed-income schemes in partnership with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund. The platform combines the returns of mutual funds with the convenience of traditional banking.

According to the Bengaluru-based company, it enables instant redemption of mutual funds at the time of payment, transforming personal treasury management for high-net-worth individuals. Its features include no balance requirements, fully digital onboarding, and innovative tools for financial efficiency.

Curie Money aims to address the gap between liquidity and returns, empowering users to maximize their wealth with ease and convenience. It combines the higher returns of mutual funds, which typically yield 7–8%, with the liquidity of savings accounts. The company recently secured approval from NPCI to operate as a TPAP to offer UPI services.
