Startup accelerator India Accelerator (IA) has announced the launch of its 2025 Cohort. As part of the cohort, it plans to invest $8-10 million, and this program will accelerate 30-35 startups across transformative sectors, helping them turn ideas into scalable, market-ready businesses, IA said in a press release.

The cohort, set to commence in Q1 2025, is laser-focused on impactful use cases that address real-world challenges like autonomous drones for defense and civil applications, eCommerce ecosystems, sustainable mobility, and GenAI solutions.

India Accelerator & Finvolve aim to enable startups to create meaningful, market-driven impact. Startup Cohort’25 will go beyond funding by providing full ecosystem support, from tailored go-to-market strategies to access to industry experts through a specialized mentor board.

The cohort will focus on startups building autonomous drones that seamlessly integrate into defense reconnaissance, agriculture monitoring, and logistics operations, enabling dual-use capabilities across civil and military sectors. It will also focus on other areas such as energy, mobility & connectivity, generative AI, impact labs, and others.

According to IA, the cohort will provide a curated network of industry experts across robotics, AI, mobility, and impact-driven sectors to provide sector-specific guidance, ensuring each startup has tailored strategic support. It enables startups to receive customized playbooks to launch, scale, and capture market share, leveraging IA’s extensive investor network and strategic partnerships.

IA claims that it has accelerated 225 startups, and two-thirds of them are raising follow-on funding.

India Accelerator (IA) is a seed-stage startup accelerator that aims to foster innovation and support upcoming founders. Along with the accelerator, it is also very active in early-stage investments through its joint venture ‘Finvolve’ and its 3 AIFs & a GIFT City Fund.
